Personally, there aren’t much quality anime flying around these days and some of it just fit the bill on the watchable list only. The end of this year is approaching fast so we will need to say farewell again to welcome another year of great anime to come. Ostensibly, some are disappointing but there are still some are at most entertaining to watch.

Recommended

1] Nyan Koi

I was instantly hook with the first episode and enjoy throughout the whole 12 episodes but to my dismay it ended recently. At the last episode the producer did give the viewers a hint that a season 2 is ensure. Let’s hope that it will fall on Summer next year.

2] Kimi ni Todoke

It’s an interesting piece of story and animation with its cute chibi style of art at times. After the second episode the anime have officially suck me in like a star got pull into the never ending depth of a black hole in the universe. The anime actually pushes me to read the whole Manga while the anime is being release each episode by the weeks to come. Frankly, I don’t usually read the manga while the anime is being serve and this is the first time ever.

3] To Aru Kagaku no Railgun

This is actually a side story of the original novel whereby the story concentrate on the adventures of Misaka Mikoto, one of the Level 5 psychics in the To Aru Majutsu no Index light novels. The whole anime was actually quite entertaining and worthwhile to watch. Overall, the anime contain a lot of moe characters, a fantastic theme (superpowers anyone?), good action animation, and a little tit bit of fan service that make it a success with me.

4] Kampfer

Hell yeah! Genderbender here I come. I was particularly interested with this anime because it’s using genderbender and harem as its theme. Although the story is nothing new which uses the old model of the good versus evil as to most of the story we are being taught or read about but what makes it worthwhile is the different personalities of each girls that try to fight over Natsure the main protagonist.

Not recommended

1] Nogizaka Haruka Season 2

[Yup! She is pissed]

Season 1 was good and the flow was nice but as for season 2 it kinda fail on me because the whole anime empathize too much on love and progresses too slow whereby it get kinda boring to get pass each episode. I eventually drop it at episode 6.

2] Seitokai no Ichizon

I would not recommend this to anyone who is still new in the world of otaku unless you have been watching anime for about 3 years then by all mean please do go ahead because I’m sure you will have no problem understanding everything when random phrases pop up or blurb from other hits anime titles. If you are still determine sure they are still parts that are your average high school comedies.

3] Sora no Otoshimono

Don’t get the wrong idea because I do like fan service that play a part in an anime. Sora no Otoshimono have too much or over exaggerated fan service serve hot to the fans with each episode. I do agree at the first few episodes was interesting especially for the flying pantsu part but latter episode have really start to get on my nerves. There are too many recurring plot that have been exploited by other anime titles.

Todoke and Railgun are definitely the more enjoyable series this season (yeah, this year really doesn’t have much to offer). Kampher turned out be quite funny too – more than just generic ecchi, at least.

On the other hand, I found Ichizon just plain boring; it’s not just about whether you get the references or not, it’s just that the gags simply aren’t funny.

You just reminded me to watch the damn shows already. I’ve got Kampfer and Nyan Koi all downloaded, but I’ve yet to find the time to actually watch them…

  • Yo

Sora no Otoshimono is actually pretty good though the anime creators really do need NOT to make the male lead characters a Wuss!

    The manga seems better!
