A Brand New Face
As you can see I have migrated from wordpress.com into a self hosted blog and If you memory serve you right my very first blog have been wipe clean due to a hacker. Furthermore, I have done a lots of tweaks here and there just to make it how I wanted it to be. It’s tough since I have very little prior knowledge to web scripting languages such as some of the most popular PHP, CSS and Javascript.
The Theme – Mystique
One of the greatest theme I have come across when I was theme hunting. The theme itself are jam packed with a lots of functionality & slick features. At first I wanted to use a magazine theme call “Obscure” which I don’t like all the dark black ground so I did not see it through. Eventually I dumped it and adapt Mystique as my main. For those who have no idea how to code an awesome and elegance theme like me this will be the perfect candidate to use.

The Name – The Otaku Kid
When I was thinking about a name to be use as a domain name for my blog I usually like to play then relate with objects, things, names and interests just to mix match the whole thing up to see if I got any domain name it can be registered given no one have use it.
“The Otaku Kid” come about when I relate Japanese pop/sub cultures and categorize them as under “Otaku”. As for the kid part, deep down I’m still a kid but time would not allow me to be one forever. I’m 18 years old this year and responsibilities get pile up even higher than I was a kid.
Resurrection of some old galleries
I will be re-posting all the old galleries that have been wipe on my old site due to an authorize attempt to the server. The whole story is here.
New Stuffs
1] Comment system completely change to use Disqus as my manager.
2] Related post come up with images attached to them. So, an increase of flow of traffics and reader can find more post to read.
3] Flickr will be handling my pictures soon as I still have a problem with the plugin.
4] Most of the functions & effects come with the theme itself.
Problems
1] The theme somehow incompatible with Flickr Manager and if the plugin is activated all the javascripts would not work. For example the fancy tabs on your right would not function.
Luckily I did encounter much problems during setup.
Conclusion
Everything are new so explore around and see what you like or don’t like. Tell me what you think
