Money Sure Smell Sweet When You Earn It

25 February 2010 View Comments

Woohoo!~ I got my salary today after working for a month at an accounting & Audit firm in Puchong.

I was being pay RM 60 per day for 8 hours of work in the office. I think it’s quite a good pay in fact I did a comparison on other part time job as well each being less pay than the others.

Bookstore cashier: 5 per hour

McDonald: RM 4.5 per hour

Pizza Hut: RM 3.80 per hour

Hypermarket cashier: RM 3.5 per hour

Rm 60 divided by 8 hours I got Rm 7.50 per hour and surprisingly it’s a pretty relaxing job. On the other hand, file managing, doing account, and make sure everything must be right can be a boring one indeed. I do occasionally surf the web when I got bored from work but do not slack long just about 10 minutes.. maybe?

Due to the short span of this month and holidays that I took,. I am only able to work for 15 days only with a pay of RM 900. I did felt excited when I got my pay. I never did any part time job before even back when I’m in Secondary school. In comparison of UK & MY, average UK part timer are able to earn 7 pound per hour while I’m able to earn RM 7.50 per hour. Sound Terrible right?

7 Pound can be converted into RM 36 for one hour of work while I need to work 5 hours to get that amount. [Rate: 1 GBP = 5.2 MYR base on the date of this post]

Total days of working can be easily sum up to 20 days of works in the company. 5 days in Jan and 15 days in Feb.
