Life as an Account Assistant

It was my first job I took and since I don’t like promoting nor selling on the street while sweating like a pig under the gruesome sun this was the perfect job for me. Erm..? I think.  The office are fully air-conditioned and full of friendly OL (Office Ladies) working there but from what I observed a few minority look gloomy. Maybe they are just tired from the 9-5 rat race or I may be wrong either way not all of them look happy.

Just a blink of the eyes 2 months and 1 week had flew by just like that. Working as an account assistant is not an easy job since there are tons of file managing, form filling, spreadsheet cracking & number crunching task to do.

Honestly, I’m not good at account in school because from what I remember I always failed to achieve even the passing threshold but magnificently I got a C+ on my SPM slips. Seriously!? That show how the Malaysian education system have again achieve a new low.

Yup! There are a lots of dusts floating around when arranging this stash of documents. The office is still using CRT and age old computer to function which is older than my old 7 years old Pentium 4. I never seem to be able to multi-task nor work smoothly with sudden pauses that constantly jump out. Yea.. I like the people and the environment but not their outdated technology.

I have cute neighbors beside me which are small in size & somehow one look like an eighteen years and another look like a Form 1 girl (loli.. STRIKE!) to me but when I asked about their age I’m shocked!

After a few weeks of doing the job I felt lost and bored with the whole shebang. When the boredom set in I tend to surf the net to relieve myself or maybe go out to have some fresh air. In short, I don’t like the job but 2.1 months of working there does give me a head start in life and I had learn something new about the accounting & how tax system works.

As I started to work for the second month I quickly drag in my classmate friend Shaun into the office to work with me since he is also in the wake of finding a part time job. At first he was a replacement for me since I felt bored of the work I did but din’t do so and continue until the end of March along side with him. He’s a fun guy to be with but if you did not know him you’ll think he talk too much. One more thing, he’s photo shy so it’s hard for me to to capture him.

Tomorrow will be the last day there and the weird part is I felt excited about what will happen next.
