Will Loli Ban Be imminent?
Today will be the day the committee of Tokyo Metropolitan Assembly’s General Affairs to decide whether will the loli ban goes into effect or not. There is still a chance that the people of Japan can turn the tide if the online petition achieve its 100,000 signature by the time they vote or people protest about it.
Loli a word best describe girls who are underage or may look like one have created much controversies over the years due to moralist claiming mangaka help created a culture that might harm real children by depicting them in manga. While they are not much evident to be given that child pornography will deteriorate if the law is enacted or even before the whole thing skyrocketed.
Any literature or film which might be thought to constitute a depiction of sexual activity involving or apparently involving a person under 18, someone dressed in a manner reminiscent of an under-18, or who speaks like an under-18, may not in Tokyo be viewed by or sold or distributed to any young person.

From my point of view the whole idea to support some fake “justice” might just cripple the Japanese economy due to the restrictions as you can read above. For instance, Anime/Manga/Games/OST that are released in Japan will decrease, production will soon follow suit, revenue shrink, economy start to fall apart, recessions will sink in, tax payers will be burden and so forth you get the drill.
I am completely against people to silence artist from their artwork, rights to express themselves through different mediums & criminalizing people when they did nothing wrong unless they actually commit the crime. Besides, with the internet on our hands, this entire idea is meaningless. With the resources and technology of today that able us to manipulate almost everything. In summary, passing the bill would basically ban anime and manga as such that are related.
For the time being let’s see what the outcome will be.
