Heroman – A Must Watch For This Spring
It is the creation from Stan Lee of Marvel Comic & produced by BONES studio who’s famous for the series Full Metal Alchemist brought a new face into the mecha world.
[Don't be fooled! Because Joey is a boy although his hair & facial resemble a female outlook. Traps these days are precious!]
The theme are base on the 70′s & 80′s of America where their pop culture (note: hippie) started to be faded away and come the hip modern American. If you see a similarity of the robot design that’s because the character designer is done by Shigeto Koyama who also involve in series likes Eureka Seven & Gurren Lagann. Even there are left over element from Cowboy bebop like his best friend (Psy) hair do. Nonetheless, the first episode was promising enough to get me hooked for more & I’m happy when I saw it was announced for 24 episodes run.
Here’s a brief summary of the anime
An American kid named Joey lives in an urban city & has always wanted to become a hero. Unfortunately he’s just an orphan working part time to support his grandma and himself. After he watched a toy commercial on a new robot action figure, Joey believe he’ll gain strength if he obtains one. The only robot toy he can get his hands on is a broken one that was abandon by a rich school bully. Feeling pity for the trashed action figure, Joey took it home to repair it. Little did he know, that once he repairs the toy, it’ll make his hero dream become a reality.
The character design & the environment of a U.S. state reminded me of Martin mystery, Totally Spies & Kim possible from Disney channel when I was a wee lad back then. A laughable moment was I cried when I missed an episode of Kim Possible. Yes! I was a big fan back then. However, I exchange it for Japanese animation which is much more cooler than American cartoon.
Joey would be girlfriend with a dickhead brother as her guardian.
For those who like Marvel Comic’ s like Spiderman & Japanese animation then this is the best of both worlds as Miley Cyrus sang it. With Stan Lee story & the awesome animator form BONES studio will infuse a new experience to the viewer.
By any chance do anyone here know what’s the song name and it’s artist? I have a hard time to finding it @_@
Update!
ED of the anime is up here.
