This have been really over due to my laziness to do a write up on this post which initially drafted and left to collect dust on my tabs. The dust bunny almost form its shape.. LOL! It was a beautiful morning.. No. It was a sleepy morning that I need to get up from my bed as early as 6 a.m. to get ready and venture off with my friends who also got the same job.

I seriously would not recommend a job as a salesperson to sell laptop from the PC3 company on PC Fair. I do not know why I dislike the company I worked for but I know its guts feeling that told me that. It was later confirm when the guys and I went for a break and ask around on how other salespeople were doing in their business. After some simple comparison we are shocked.

To those who had not heard of the event

Pikom PC Fair

It is a day to scam people off their wallet by selling what the manager think its the targeted product the people want. This especially ring true if you are in handphones & cameras business other than the laptop business. The event usually situated in KLCC ( Kuala Lumpur Convention Center ) if you live in Wilayah Persekutuan. They too organize in other states as well jumping month by month.

Do I recommend it?

No. I would not. Since electronic devices are readily available in Kuala Lumpur especially at Lowyat Plaza. If you can’t find a particular one you like at any shop there are always options to select it from a electronic commerce site. I’m sure you heard of Newegg.com. Right?.. Please tell me you know it (T-T)

It’s the group I lead and found some good friends too along the way.

There is also a funny thing about customer belief who thinks if you buy at the last day of the event you can cut a deal with the guy who sell you the device or a cheaper price from the dealer. To tell you the truth there is a baseline on where you can cut and cannot go over it and if you did that well you pretty much pay for it yourself. Example: A laptop selling at RM 2, 149 & that RM 49 sticking out on the price tag usually is the commission the salesperson get if he sell a laptop with no slashes on his precious RM 49.

RM 2, 149 – RM 49 = RM 2, 100 will be your baseline. You can seriously cut below than this number or else!

Oh yeah! You need to attained a quota before you can receive your hard earn commission usually aimed at RM 500.

Somehow, when I sell it I felt like I was lying to the customer. I do not know where this feeling coming from and have make me uneasy to sell it to them but I still keep an upbeat & welcoming face to the customer at hand to manage to sell a total of 4 acer laptop at the end of the second day. I went AWOL on the third day claiming that I was sick from a flu that I catch from a customer I served.
