Top 5 Highly Recommended For This Fall 2010
Embraced yourself! As there’ll be a truckloads of good anime airing this fall until the holidays season in December. As usual I will be presenting 5 top picks only on this blog post (although there are more than 5 good ones) which I would strongly recommend them to anyone who enjoy a good anime watch session in their free time.
1] Bakuman

I have read the manga early on this year and to be honest I totally dig it with these two amateur junior high school mangaka (comic artist) trying their hardest to make it into the comic business with the aim of their manga made into anime when they reached 18 years old. To me, if I’m a mangaka it would sound impossible to achieve within such a short span of time but to Mashiro the prize at the very end is much more valuable that the odds he will be facing.
I never know what kinds of processes are involved while creating a decent manga and the pay would be like. However, it is much dimmer in reality that living a life as being a mangaka does not earn a lot even if their manga sales are considerably good. That’s really a bummer if you choose to become one someday. I think mangaka should change their platform of distributing their manga online rather than a using the traditional method via a publisher. That way mangaka could take 100% of their rightful profit from generated sales or donation from fans worldwide.
In short, Bakuman is actually a manga about manga or should I say an anime about manga since it was made into reality by J.C. staff and produced by NHK.
[This is not the original trailer but an AMV to substitute it due to the uninterestingly done promotional trailer for Bakuman]
2] Psychic Detective Yakumo
It’s something out of the ordinary for this season that I have picked up while scanning through Chartfag famous A4 size chart tables. I, myself is not a big fan for supernatural movie nor anime. I think it’s the scientific side of me that kept me from watch them but this one definitely captivated me from episode 1 onward with a lazy main character that can only resemble a lazy cat who is able to see your friendly neighborhood ghost with his left red eye.
I didn’t even know that it was popular back in the days and after some digging around the web this anime is actually came from a novel and have been made into a 13 episodes live-action drama in 2006. I got a feeling that it will be worth it. Trust me on this one \(^-^)/
3] Kuragehime
Definitely a must watch! You won’t regret it unless you’re too into everything moe then please try Panty and Stocking (pun intended). It’s a story about “Amars” well to be exact it these girls ranging from a NEET to an Otaku all living under one roof, each with their peculiar personalities and interesting characters. Oh, did I mention there’s a crossdresser within too? You’ll definitely love it!
4] Hyakka Ryouran Samurai Girl
I think the few major selling points for this anime are its bastardized history, new ways of art styles are employed and some bouncy yet juicy samurai girl sword cutting action. I won’t expect too much from the story if I were you but a point not to missed is its good battle choreography and those thick lines.
The way they censored scenes are quite humorous to me because steam is most oftenly used if not hard sharp lights in anime that contain too much reviewing parts but this time ink dots are doing a fine job here.
5] My little Sister can’t be this Cute!
Gee.. How I hope I have a little sister too but God forbid and I ended up with a little brother instead. Damn you! So, the character designs are my favorite while at the same time I enjoy the tsundere part of Kirino personality. What got me attach? Nothing much but I do want to see how the story gonna develop with this eroge loving imouto. A good slice of life with a light comedy atmosphere kind of anime that revolve among the otaku circle she joined and her ‘real’ life as a model/student.
