Planned & Readied for AFA X 2010
Everything have been planned and readied from the very beginning of this trip since I love to get things done first. Well, not everything have its priority but going out of the country is our first experience and definitely an important task that to be deal with as soon as possible before the departure date.
Of course, I don’t plan to go alone just to attend the event and explore Singapore by myself. Luckily, I have good friends who are interested in my 5 days and 4 nights plans. At first there are a total head count of 4 peoples and thats including myself but as the days draws closer one my bud received a letter for a MUET (Malaysian University English Test) exam on the first day of the event. So, he need to cut himself loose and we need to carry on with our objectives.
From the smallest details like emergency numbers to places we need to visit during our stays. I can confidently says that almost everything is in good hands unless we got some nasty problems that might crop up then we just need to improvise on the spot. Plan B? Not all are given top priority but transportation and shelter always have its fall back plans laid out. I always have an open route to escape in a dire situation when all fails.
I’m curious and exited in using the Singapore Mass Rapid Transit and Light Rail Transit systems in the days to come. LRT have become a transportation I cannot have without and no I’m not a train otaku. Train is the best way to go to and fro from my college since both of them are near the station and there are really no point to drive there (Malaysian Jams is a no-no). Our Malaysian LRT system is owned by the government, “RapidKL” which cater their services from train transits to monorails and feeder bus transports all around Malaysia. So, in a sense, I just want to compare the pros and cons.
I would recommend everyone to use http://gothere.sg/maps when in or before Singapore as it can quickly direct you to places to places just like a GPS system but it’s specially geared toward travelers and tourists who visit the country.
I really feel like we are really stretching it from the very beginning but hey.. this is a budget trip and a once in a lifetime to experience it with your friends.
More to come when my buds and I come back from the trip.
