Just a week ago my Rapidpass for student have rendered itself unusable. How did it come to its demise? I don’t know. However, from what I have collected that the system used for integrated travel card are facing issues that no staffs can properly clarify. A message telling me from the gate to reload on a monthly RM100 card that can be used unlimited for 30-days is crazy!
One of the staff in Masjid Jamek once told me that my card is corrupted and insist that I apply for a new one. It’s easier said than done. To me, the card is fine but their system is fucked up as these card usually just carry a minute of data and personal information.

I have been a loyal card user ever since last year when I apply it on June last year. Usually there’s no problems but at times the card just doesn’t read. Luckily, it’s on rare occasions only but still bothersome. Moreover, other says that they touched their integrated card on Rapidkl buses without knowingly it’s their last time to use the LRT automated gate and…………… wait for it…. need to pay a little visit to the auxiliary gate to flash your very own paper voucher to gain access =.=

Since I am currently studying on Information System (You’ll be amazed that everything electronics need it) and judging from the errors I usually come across while using their services. I’ll assume they do not do any proper research nor system design prior to creating their system. There’s a chance that at the most basic level of the problem might be a logic error that the programmers misses out while coding the module. I mean, it does usually occur to me while I’m coding. You know, the program might run smooth a the first few trials but after a while it just goes haywire. I might be wrong or there are other variables involves for whatever the reason.
Their system suck and is in need of a proper maintenance!

Update! 1st June 2011
I have finally confirm with those who are in charge and told me that their systems are not in alignment with different services after their upgrade recently. So, until they fix their problems I will need to use that piece of paper to access the LRT.
