I first noticed them when the ending song starts rolling in UN-GO and got attached to the style of the music they play. Compare to others Jpop Artist fighting for a place in debuting themselves in anime OP/ED LAMA knows how to be unique in this overcrowded market. By my definitions, it’s something fresh and is attuned to my taste of music.

According to news sources and wiki on the net they seems to be a newly formed band in this year. However, all the members are experienced musicians which contain Tabuchi Hisako(Number Girl), Nakamura Kouji (SuperCar), Ushio Kensuke (agraph) and Furukawa Miki (Supercar). Their first debut was back in April to do a song “Spell” with KIMONOS and later got picked up by the anime No. 6 as OP.

Now, I didn’t watch No. 6 but after finding out this fact I went and check “spell” out and it was good song too. I mean, they just gets better overtime with one of its latest releases, ‘CUPID/FANTASY’ back in the end of October. I thought Fantasy was great but Cupid is even better! I especially like the slowmo and overall yellowish backdrop of the videos.

Oh! Did I mention that Nakamura Kouji works with Eureka 7 too? Btw, any fans of E7 here? I love that anime and its movies too.

In a nutshell, these are definitely great work and I will be continuously following them to see what’s their next releases are.
