The finale for the Legend of Korra was fantastic! This one hours special that combines 2 episodes into one was great as Book 1 ends while us fans patiently waits for Book 2 to arrive. I’m guessing another year of wait for the new season to be aired. Might be the same time as Book 1 aired which was back in April. The good news is work is currently underway on Book 2 as I type. *Excited*

[Spoiler Start]

The back story for Tarlok was very good and it helps give us a bit more background to really understand this character and the reasons behind the judgements he made in past episodes. Who would have thought that Amon, the ring leader of the ragtag gang who try to “purify” the world is a born waterbender but with a rare speciality. He can bloodbend at will without a full moon overshadowing him. My first guess was, he’s definitely have some rarity of the bunch to maybe energy bend like the Avatar Aang. Oh well, I was wrong.

I felt a bit rush at the end of the finale. Maybe another few minutes of show time would help to smooth it a little bit. Other than that, I thought season 2 would be a journey for Korra to travel the lands in search for a cure or maybe ways to recover her bending abilities back and be restored as the Avatar. What do you know? Instant gratification! She was restored by Aang himself revealing to her at her lowest point in life. So, what would Book 2 brings? The rebuilding of the city? or more spiritual practice?

I didn’t know that bumi was a non-bender until I check up on him. He’s a bit on the wild side of things like King Bumi. Hope to see more of him in Book 2.

In my ending note of this spoiler section, I’m very please with everything that the creators and producers have put on this awesome series. Thanks for your effort and hard work!

[Spoiler End]

The sentence that Avatar Aang said to Korra near the ending “When we hit our lowest point we are open to the greatest change.” give me the chills. However, very empowering at the same time. As human, a child, or a young adult like me. We go through life facing challenges and barricades. Passing one after another. It’s not always easy sailing from point A to point B as shit usually happens. And when it did we are always open for options in order to fight for another day.

This little quote will definitely enter my list of awesome quotes for future reference. How do you feel when you heard it?

Okay, so it ends. Cheer up! Even the show have ended for now. You can still look forward for those juicy commentary from July 9 – July 20 during which all twelve episodes from Season 1. Each “creators cut” episode offers insight into the creation of the stunning imagery, mythology and storyline.

Oh! Book 2 will have 14 episodes compare to only 12 episodes for Book 1 :D
