I’m Back with Something Awesome!

Some of you may have noticed the lack of posts from these past weeks and a lack of activity on the fanpage. That is because I was busy coding a mini project. In short, it’s an assignment for the IT course I attended. We are expected to handle all the planning, designing and coding in order to create a fully functional website in a length of 3 months.

Planning and designing shaved a lots of time from my planned schedule but I still managed to get almost everything done with my partner on time for the final presentation. And that was just two days ago which was a Tuesday. However, the weeks leading to that day was something I have not experienced before. You can basically see me wake up as early as possible and start to code until it was night time. I have been using this routine for the past 2 weeks. Luckily, now I can revert back to my old one

It gets even more fierce as it get closer to the final presentation date. I can feel the stress from my mind and tiredness from my body. As always musics comes to the rescue when my mind starts to slow down and refuse to work efficiently. I don’t know why but electronic or trance music works best in these situation as it have the power to make those cogs in my brain moving again.

The hardwork was worth it! I managed to learnt and implemented a lots of new web technologies into my project. To list a few, CSS3, HTML5, JQUERY, Facebook API, etc. It was an awesome learning experience.

So, after reading all my blabbering. You would be wondering by now. “What kind of website did he managed to build?” The simple answer is, my partner and I built a cosplay gallery with a full front-end and back-end support. The idea was conceived early this year when Mr. Chris (He’s one hell of an awesome lecture with industrial experiences) ask us to propose a system we would like to build but I didn’t build it in that semester. Instead I transferred and expanded the idea as the last website I would want build before the end of my diploma programme.

Now, it have become a reality and I’m currently hosting it in one of my subdomain. I named it “Cosbase“, it’s short for cosplay base a centralized location where cosplay nuts and aficionados can upload and share awesome cosplay photo with one and another. I think this idea might work if it is a fully working site.

Some part of the designs and functions were inspired by wallbase.cc and worldcosplay.net. These are the two site that I usually visits when I have some extra time laying around and totally love what they are doing. Ummh.. ya, that’s why.

 

I think I might be able to actualize this site to become a fully functional site one day. Interested in helping?
